Cermount

The Challenge: Create a brand name that could rise to the occasion

A number of our naming assignments involve the creation of new division names and/or product initiatives. This not-for-profit client specialized in job training and vocational services for special needs populations. Much of the training and expertise involved packaging of dry goods at their central manufacturing facility. To reach the commercial market, they needed a name that tied to the heritage of the area (Blue Ridge Mountains) and also conveyed their mission of overcoming obstacles to employment. That meant hitting two messaging targets with one name... a tall order!

The "Ah-ha" Moment: Develop a corporate sounding brand name with a sense of purpose

In the end, we came up with Cermount (a homonym for surmount) which captured the notions of advancement and achievement while also containing the word “mount,” reflecting the beautiful backdrop of their location. In this case, Tungsten went over and above, while assisting a worthy cause. To top it off, we were able to secure the exact matching .com domain name.
