BrightPeak Financial

Making financial independence feel within reach.

The Challenge:

Give a new generation a more approachable path to financial security.

For young adults and families, financial planning often begins with immediate concerns: protecting an income, building emergency savings, and finding room to prepare for tomorrow. A financial brand serving this audience needed to make those first steps feel achievable.

Thrivent created a new division to reach young Christian families with straightforward financial guidance and accessible products, including term life insurance, disability income insurance, and retirement solutions. The naming challenge was to express that mission with warmth and optimism while retaining the credibility expected of a financial services organization.

The name needed to offer a sense of possibility—one that would resonate with people still establishing their financial footing and remain relevant as their needs evolved.

The "Ah-ha" Moment:

Pair an optimistic outlook with an enduring symbol of aspiration.

Brightpeak brought those ideas together in a natural, evocative construction.

“Bright” speaks to hope, optimism, and vitality. It suggests a clearer outlook and the confidence that comes from understanding the road ahead. “Peak” introduces a sense of elevation and aspiration: reaching a higher level of financial independence, one step at a time.

Together, the words create an evergreen name with an enduring sense of purpose. Brightpeak feels positive and approachable while providing room for a broad range of financial guidance, protection, and savings solutions.

For families building their financial foundations, the name offers an encouraging perspective: a stronger future is something they can work toward.

The Brand in Practice:

Launched in 2012, brightpeak financial developed into a digitally focused Thrivent division serving Millennials and young Christian families. Its offerings combined financial education with practical tools to help people protect their households, build savings, and prepare for retirement.

Thrivent announced the division’s closure in 2019 during a broader restructuring and cost reduction program.
