Name a new fitness facility specializing in rowing

We created a brand brand that can easily pull ahead of the pack. When naming a new company, we look for names that can tell a story and fit the feel of the brand. In this case we could have opted for the typical naming construction, e.g. Row + a word. We had suggested Row Republic, which would have been both credible and believeable. But in the end, (and much to our delight,) the client chose Crewbody.

Every rowing team has a “crew’ and it embodies the feeling of belonging, being part of a group, a team, a cause. As a member, everyone strives to attain a fitness goal, and in this case, it was to have a great body, a “Crewbody!” The name passed what we call “the T-Shirt Test” in that it’s the type of brand name that most people would gladly wear and display on shirts, cups and gym bags. The tagline? Crewbody… Grip. Rip. Row. The name and tagline provided a call-to-action -- in short a total stroke of genius!
